Acts of Self® is a practical, integrative framework designed to help you understand the different aspects of yourself that shape how you feel, think, and act every day.
We all have internal patterns that can leave us feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected. Grounded in established psychology - including CBT, Attachment theory, and Compassion-Focused Therapy - this model translates your complex inner experiences into a simple, structured language.
By identifying the interaction between your internal "Acts" - like the protective Guardian, the meaning-making Author, or the values-led Guide - you gain the clarity needed to move from reactive habits toward intentional, balanced living. This framework helps you:
Navigate Daily Life: Understand why you react the way you do in relationships, at work, and within yourself.
Break Old Patterns: Identify the historical "blueprints" that no longer serve your present self.
Find Internal Balance: Create a collaboration between your internal parts to reduce conflict and increase peace of mind.

Partnering with Organisations
We collaborate with organisations to translate deep psychological theory into practical, high-impact solutions. Whether you are seeking to reduce staff burnout, support individuals on clinical waiting lists, or enhance performance within elite teams, our services are scalable and bespoke. By applying the Acts of Self framework, we help your organisation foster a culture of psychological literacy and sustainable wellbeing:
1:1 Psychotherapy Referrals
Expert individual interventions for complex psychological needs. Our 1:1 psychotherapy services provide a high-level clinical resource for employees and service users who require more than generic support. By integrating the Acts of Self framework with specialist expertise in Eating Disorders, Neurodiversity, and Anxiety, we offer a targeted approach to recovery and stabilisation. This tier of support is designed to address the root causes of psychological distress, facilitating a sustainable return to health and professional engagement for the individual.
Training (CPD) & Performance
Enhancing psychological literacy and professional resilience. We translate complex psychotherapeutic theory into practical, high-performance tools for the workplace and beyond. Our CPD and workshops - ranging from anti-burnout strategies to neurodiversity to sports performance optimisation amongst others - empower teams to understand their internal dynamics. By teaching organisations to recognise and align their internal "Acts," we foster an environment of deeper self-leadership, reducing turnover and enhancing the collective capacity to perform under pressure.
Service & Waitlist Solutions
Strategic group interventions to manage organisational pressure. The gap between a referral and the start of treatment is a period of high risk and declining wellbeing. Our structured Waiting List Support Groups provide a robust "holding bridge" for overstretched public, charitable, and private services. Led by experienced therapists, these psychology-led groups offer immediate containment and evidence-based strategies, ensuring that individuals remain supported and engaged while navigating clinical pathways.

The Digital Architecture of the Self
Provide your employees and service users with a sophisticated digital architecture for mental clarity and professional resilience. Specular is the dedicated companion to the Acts of Self® framework, offering a structured, clinical-grade environment for individuals to map their internal drivers and navigate complex psychological patterns in real-time. By facilitating daily, actionable self-leadership - from managing the protective instincts of The Guardian to aligning with the values of The Guide - Specular bridges the gap between occasional support and consistent, sustainable wellbeing. Designed for high-trust environments, the app operates on a secure, zero-knowledge architecture, ensuring total user privacy while delivering a premium standard of psychological support across your entire organisation. Why Partner with Acts of Self?
In a landscape of fragmented wellbeing solutions, Acts of Self offers a unified, clinically grounded approach to psychological health. We move beyond surface-level "fixes", providing organisations with a robust toolkit to navigate human complexity and optimise performance.
Clinical Authority: Our model is deeply rooted in established psychotherapeutic theories - including CBT, Attachment Theory, and Compassion-Focussed Therapy - ensuring every intervention is evidence-based and clinically sound.
A Unified Language for Growth: We replace generic resilience training with a sophisticated vocabulary for self-leadership. By identifying the different Acts of the internal world, teams gain a practical framework for emotional literacy and professional alignment.
Strategic Waiting Support: We provide a critical "holding bridge" for those facing long delays for mental health care. Our structured support groups offer immediate, theory-led intervention for employees or service users navigating overstretched clinical pathways.
The Power of the Collective: As a partnership of three experienced psychotherapists, we offer a depth of oversight and reliability that traditional coaching cannot match. Our synergy ensures diverse clinical perspectives and a consistent, high-quality delivery of care.
Addressing the Root Narrative: While many programs manage symptoms, we address the internal narratives that drive behaviour. Our CPD and workshops empower professionals to align their internal "Persona" with their core values and organisational purpose.
Most mindset models are like a fresh coat of paint; they change how a room looks, but they can't fix a cracked foundation. Acts of Self provides the structural blueprints. We don't just help you redecorate the interior; we show you how the plumbing, the wiring, and the foundations actually work so you can rebuild with integrity.
