Psychological Literacy for
High-Stakes Environments

Equipping professionals and organisations with the Acts of Self framework to navigate complexity, de-escalate conflict, and lead with clarity.

Training and CPD

Most professional training focuses on what to do. Our training focuses on how the human system actually operates. By teaching the Acts of Self framework, we provide a universal language that allows teams to understand the internal drivers behind external behaviours. Here is an example of some of the training we can provide:

Level 1: Foundations (Keynote/Seminars)
Format: 60–90 minute "Introduction to the 8 Acts."

Best for: Large groups, lunch-and-learns, or conference keynotes.

Outcome: A shared vocabulary for the team and an immediate shift in how they view "difficult" colleagues or high-pressure situations.

Level 2: Core Practitioner CPD (Full Day Workshop)
Format: Intensive 6-hour training.

Best for: Healthcare professionals, coaches, and managers.

Outcome: Deep-dive into specific Acts (The Historian, The Guardian, The Body) or a focus on a particular clinical area. Participants leave with a toolkit of interventions they can use the very next day.

Level 3: The Deep-Dive (Speciality Series)
Format: 3-part series focusing on one specific clinical/professional area.

Example Topics:

The Acts of Eating Disorders: For clinical teams.

The Neurodivergent System: For inclusive workplaces.

The Performance Mask: For coaches and athlete support staff.

The Architecture of Resilience: Beyond the Persona.

Proactive Self-Leadership: De-escalating the Internal Emergency.

We can tailor the Acts of Self to any topic you feel your organisation may benefit from, the above are just some examples of our key specialties.

The Acts of Self Methodology: A Systems Approach

We move beyond surface-level symptoms to address the internal architecture of the individual and the team. Our methodology is based on four key phases of psychological literacy:

1. Identification: The Boardroom Audit
We teach participants to identify which "Act" is currently holding the microphone. In a high-pressure meeting, is it the Guardian (protecting from perceived threat), the Persona (performing for status), or the Guide (steering toward the goal)?

The Value: This shifts the conversation from "You are being difficult" to "I can hear the Guardian is very active right now; what is it trying to protect?"

2. Dialogue: Internal Negotiation
Conflict - whether internal or interpersonal - is often just two "Acts" with different agendas. Our methodology provides a framework for these parts to collaborate.

The Value: We teach teams how to invite the Rebel (innovation) to speak without triggering the Guardian (risk aversion) into a full-scale shutdown.

3. Direction: Re-establishing the Guide
In times of burnout or transition, the Guide (our sense of purpose and values) often gets drowned out by the noise of the Historian (past failures) or the Author (fear-based narratives).

The Value: We provide "Narrative Correction" tools to help the Author rewrite the current strategy based on the Guide’s values rather than the Historian’s ghosts.

4. Regulation: The Biological Floor
Every professional decision is filtered through the Body. If the organisational or individual "Body" is in a state of chronic stress, the Guardian will stay in charge.

The Value: We use the Body act to teach practical, biologically-backed nervous system regulation. This ensures that the team stays in a state of "Social Engagement" - the only state where high-level problem-solving and collaboration can occur.
